ICHS received funds from the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) to prepare a special edition of the International Journal of Circumpolar Health (IJCH) on the Climate Change impacts to Human Health (CCHH). ICHS hosted a meeting of international experts in Copenhagen Denmark in September. The special edition was published in early 2006:

The November 2004 Arctic Council report "Arctic Climate Impact Assessment" has a chapter on the CCHH. This special journal will offer an opportunity for the authors of the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA) health chapter to produce individual papers to expand on their areas of interest, as well as the opportunity to have the material in an Index Medicos listed professional journal, rather than solely in a collaborative governmental report.
