The intent of the state of Alaskas
healthy families program is to identify high risk families and
provide the intervention and support necessary to prevent or reduce
the impact of negative help or social outcomes. One of the demonstration
projects is located in the Mt. View section of Anchorage. The
Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies assisted in the development
of data collection and program evaluation approaches which allowed
the program to measure activity and the relationship of those
activities to patient outcomes.
ICHS associates completed assessments
of alternative clinical assessment scales and designed the evaluation
protocols. ICHS assisted in the development of clinical and management
data collection and reporting systems necessary to support the
evaluation.
A final report can be obtained through
the UAA Consortium Library or ICHS.
