The Arctic Research Commission (ARC)
awarded $5,000 for the FY 2000 to complete the following report:
"How traditional knowledge can and may be used in research."
This contract runs annually based on federal fiscal support to
the ARC.
The goal of this project is to promote
coordination and collaboration in Arctic Health Science Research.
ICHS is responsible for tracking and reporting to the Commission
the following:
- Current Arctic Health Science
Research activities in the US.
- Current research on the environmental
health of the Bering Sea and how it relates to communities in
the region.
