Alaskan Health Reform Initiative

Technical assistance, policy research, and analysis were provided to the Alaskan Department of Health and Social Services towards the identification and assessment of options for incremental health care reform. In 1997, this Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded project brought together state health officials, university researchers, and national consultants to examine opportunities for the improvement of access and reduction of costs of health care in Alaska. Policy options were researched and evaluated for their fit with the needs of Alaskans.
