Alaska Center for Rural Health (ACRH)
ACRH was created in 1987 by rural health care providers, educators, and administrators. Their aim was to improve the distribution, supply, quantity, and efficiency of health care personnel serving rural Alaskans.

Arctic Center, University of Lapland, Finland
The Arctic Centre "conducts internationally high-level multidisciplinary research, carries out project services, maintains a Science Center exhibitions. Information Service and a library also provides education."

Arctic Council
The Arctic Council "is a high-level intergovernmental forum that provides a mechanism to address the common concerns and challenges faced by the Arctic governments and the people of the Arctic."

Arctic Environmental Data Directory
Supports the information needs of the Arctic Council and the Arctic Community, and provides an efficient and up-to-date service for locating and assessing sources of Arctic environment data and information.

Arctic Health web site
This web site provides "a central source of information on diverse aspects of the Arctic environment and the health of Northern peoples. It provides access to evaluated health information from hundreds of local, state, national, and international agencies, as well as from professional societies and universities."

Arctic Monitoring and Assessment
AMAP "is an international organization established in 1991 to implement components of the Arctic Environmental Protection Strategy (AEPS). Now a programme group of the Arctic Council, AMAP's current objective is 'providing reliable and sufficient information on the status of, and threats to, the Arctic environment, and providing scientific advice on actions to be taken in order to support Arctic governments in their efforts to take remedial and preventive actions relating to contaminants'."

Arctic Studies Center
The Arctic Studies Center "invites you to explore the history of northern peoples, cultures, and environments and the issues that matter to northern residents today. Join us as we excavate arctic sites; support indigenous efforts to preserve cultural heritage; and work with communities and scholars to share the treasures preserved in museum collections and archives."

Canadian Circumpolar Institute
The Canadian Circumpolar Institute "was founded on a 30-year tradition of excellence in northern research at the University of Alberta.The centre builds on the continuing involvement of Northernists and Northerners from around the world in key activities."

Center for Alaska Native Health Research
CANHR was established through a five-year grant awarded by the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Research Resources to the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies
Established by the Board of Regents in 1972, the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies (CAAS) has the mission of addressing the problem of substance abuse in Alaska through educational, research, and public service programs.

Centre for Rural and Northern Health Research (CRaNHR)
CRaNHR is an academic and applied research centre with sites at Laurentian University in Sudbury and Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Department of Health Sciences (UAA)
The Department offers two degree program: the BS in Health Sciences Physician Assistant Track and the MPH in Public Health Practice.

International Union of Circumpolar Health
The IUCH "is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Alaska. Thus the IUCH is a multilateral scientific union, currently headquartered in the United States, which strives to contribute to the growing body of scientific medical and public health research data for the circumpolar regions and globally."

National Resource Center for American Indian, Alaska Native & Native Hawaiian Elders
The Center web site provides information on its goals and objectives, activities, and communications on Alaska Native communities and processes to assess the needs of communities and Elders in providing culture-based Elder care.
